Part of me can't believe she's going to be a year old; the other part can't believe she's not in junior high yet. </span><br /><span style="color:#666666;"></span><br /><span style="color:#666666;">Time over the past year has been wonky. The first three months couldn't go by fast enough - they seemed to take forever, and they were the hardest (so far) of new parenthood. Then the months seemed to fly by. Everyday she seemed to be doing something new, and in the process becoming less of a baby. There are times I want her to stay a little baby forever. And there are times I want her to be walking and talking and eating <em>all</em> solids and telling us what's the matter. I can understand why women want more babies when their children get to this point.</span><br /><span style="color:#666666;"></span><br /><span style="color:#666666;">Cliff and I bought her a couple of toys and this wonderful book, <em>Buddhist Animal Wisdom Stories.</em> It has these morality-esque stories and really beautiful illustrations.
